Lazy lazy lazy

Someone called me before 8 this morning.  Who does that?  I don’t know, but whoever it was didn’t leave me a voicemail so I guess we’ll never know.  I tried to go back to sleep after that but it didn’t work.  I decided to stay in bed anyway.  I’m still here, after a quick trip to the kitchen to finish up last night’s dishes, over two hours later.  I love my netbook for being so lightweight and pink and shiny and having great battery life…and allowing me to stay in bed and surf the net in my fruitless search for the perfect pink pumps for summer.

Things I need to do today, once I actually decide to get out of my comfy blue pajamas with red and pink cherry blossoms on them:

My spinning homework:  Pick and wash the fleece I was given as part of the spinning class I’m taking at Heindselman’s this month.  This will involve going through a part of a raw sheep’s fleece and getting all the loose vegetation/dirt out of it without making too much of a mess, washing and rinsing it in the sink, and then putting in a place safe from cats to dry.

Breakfast.  I really need to eat something besides the little cookie I just had.  I’ll probably have French toast or something when I get around to it.

Shower.  Cleanliness is next to Godliness, I hear, and smelliness is next to NO ONE.

Finally put away the Christmas storage box that’s been in my room since, well, Christmas.

Laundry.  Towels and pants and a couple of dresses and socks and sheets and shirts and a sweater.  eep.

Sew something.  It must be done.  Maybe I’ll finish the pajama top that’s been cut out for months.  I’ve got all the interfacing fused (I think…?) and just have to hammer it together in a quick and dirty manner with as few pins as possible.  Then maybe I’ll work on a dress.  We’ll see how that goes.

I also need to practice with my drop spindle, at which I am terribly bad, but I’m a very raw beginner and that makes me feel better about my clumsiness and inability to draft the wool decently.

Then I’ve got a church thing from 4-8.  Not a very very busy Saturday, but good enough to feel productive.

Saturday we were talking about how some women decide that after they have kids they are too busy to shower more than maybe twice a week, even if they aren’t too busy to exercise three times a week. And then they say that if they felt better about themselves they’d take better care of themselves. Um, if you take better care of yourself you’ll feel better about yourself.

I made Brett promise me that he’d make sure I was never too busy to shower. Good for you for including showering in your list of things to do.

That sounds like a lovely Saturday. Also, eating food is always a really good idea. :)
