Happy January.

So I haven’t blogged very much at all recently.  It’s been busy at work, and by the time I get home I’m done staring at a computer and ready to do something else.  I’ve been crocheting an afghan for my niece and gradually getting through the pile of mending I have.

I took the GRE, I’m applying for a masters in Anthropology, and I’m planning on auditioning some more.  I just got called back for a part in a production of “The Three Musketeers”.  We’ll see how that plays out.

Not much else to report, although I’m looking forward to spring and summer and ethnic tunics, as if I don’t have enough already.  Gem Faire is coming up, too, and this time I’ll be prepared to spend money on very unique things I will never see again.

Yeah, I feel a little slackerish for not posting more, but honestly, I think I’m going to go private on this blog.  I think that’s a good idea.  I just have to figure out the logistics of it all.

There are basically two ways to do it on a WP blog, one is to password protect your posts. You can also choose not to have search engines visit you in the privacy settings. Otherwise it’s something that happens through your host, where you will protect the entire site with a password.

I’ve thought about going private lots of times too, but usually decide not too since most of the time I don’t post photos or super private details. I feel like if something really needed to be private I could password protect the post.

Congrats on the call back, and the Masters!! Wow, that will be some work but very worth it. And I heart ethnic tunics too, I really must find another to replace one I used to have and love. :)

Going private on WP is easy. I was able to do it with my posse blog with just two plug-ins (Private Wordpress and Register Plus. And when we start talking about kids somewhere down the line, we’re going to do it with our family blog too.

There’s a Gem Show in Tucson too. I saw the billboard for it this afternoon while we were driving around. Just thought I’d mention that in case you ever need a road trip somewhere that only puts snow on the top of the mountains in the winter.
